PayPal Is Looking For A New Blockchain Strategy Director
Global digital payments giant PayPal is looking to fill a new position. The company posted a job listing last week where the company is looking to hire an Anti-Money-Laundering (AML) and Blockchain Strategy director for its Global Financial Crimes (GFC) division.
As per the organization, the new chief — situated in New York — will be responsible for assessing blockchain’s utilization cases for the counteraction of monetary wrongdoings, for example, illegal tax avoidance and terrorist-sponsoring, to oversee the whole AML process.
The post also showed that the perfect profile must concentrate on blockchain-related open doors for the organization regarding reinforcing the risk department of the organization.
PayPal explained that the job suggests an ordinary audit of AML-related reporting to recognize and supervise basic patterns inside a blockchain-related portfolio by conveying it as per the organization’s needs.
It is not the first time that the global digital payment goliath has shown an enthusiasm for the blockchain and digital currencies market.
Paypal’s Interest In The Crypto World

Back in November, PayPal led a $4.2 million funding round for TRM Labs, which is a cryptocurrency management platform.
Dan Schulman, Paypal’sCEO, revealed that he owns Bitcoin (BTC) and highlighted its “very volatile” nature. He said, “Until it becomes less volatile, it won’t be a currency that is widely accepted by merchants on the web — not the dark web, but the web.”
