The Number Of Women In Crypto Is On The Rise

A recent report released by CoinMarketCap shows that there has been an overall increase in the number of women engaging with crypto in 2020.

The report shows that there was a 43.24% growth among female users in the first quarter of 2020. This is in comparison to a 15.5% growth in the last quarter of 2019.

18-24-year-old Female participation rose by 65%, with continents like Europe experiencing a 50% growth rate. The study showed that there was an 80% growth of female participants in Asia, Europe, and South America.

Greece Takes The Lead Globally

Argentina holds the record in female users in South America. The country saw a growth of more than 98%. Other countries on the rise in South America, include Colombia at 82.03%, and Venezuela 80.23%.

In Europe, Greece was the standout performer with a growth rate of around 163.67%. Next on the list is Romania 125.09%, Portugal 89.95%, and Ukraine 86.68%

In Asia, only one country registered a growth rate of more than 80%, and that was Indonesia with 88.92%.

Generally, Europe appears to be on the ascendancy with a growth rate of 58.55% in Q1 2020. The Americas come in second with 50.59%. Africa is at the bottom of the list with a growth rate of just 17.99%
