Brave Partners With K-Pop’s BTS
Crypto-based web browser Brave is partnering with Korean pop group BTS to launch an exclusive browser for Japanese residents.
The Brave Browser and BTS — AKA the Bangtan Boys — have created a browser exclusively for Japanese. This one of the first known partnerships between a privacy-based browser and a Japanese pop group.
The two collaborators find a new touchpoint between fans and celebrities. The Browser will be a limited edition, and users can earn points by watching ads as a way to support Rush Gaming’s e-sports team.
Brave Is Becoming Popular
Brave Browser is becoming very popular, owing to the fact it offers users a chance to earn cryptocurrency. The Browser is an open-source web browser that focuses on offering more privacy and blocking intrusive ads and trackers. In addition, Brave Browser provides an opt-in ad system powered by the Ethereum blockchain and the firm’s proprietary Basic Attention Token (BAT)
A recent report shows that the number of monthly active users has risen by more than 100% in the last 12 months. The number of users clocked 16 million at the end of April. The reason for the recent surge in users is down to the privacy and security measures it offers.
A Small Concern
Eagle-eyed users have found a tiny concern on the Browser. Despite Brave championing its privacy and security prowess, the Browser was caught using some back tactics.
Some users have noticed the Browser auto-filled an affiliate link into its address for people trying to access Binance. Following the uproar from users, Brave co-founder Brendan Eich called the issue an error and offered to get the issue sorted.
